Aluminum oxide rectifier shares with you the significance of rectifier circuits

1. There are three main types of rectifier circuits in the power supply circuit: half-wave rectifier circuit, full-wave rectifier circuit and bridge rectifier, and the voltage doubling rectifier circuit is used for the rectification of other AC signals, such as in the light-emitting diode level indicator circuit, which rectifies the audio signal.

2. The unidirectional pulsating DC characteristics of the output of the first three rectifier circuits are different, the voltage output of the half-wave rectifier circuit is only half a cycle, so the main component of this unidirectional pulsating direct current is still 50Hz; because the frequency of the input AC mains is 50Hz, the half-wave rectifier circuit removes the half cycle of the alternating current, and does not change the frequency of the AC component in the unidirectional pulsating direct current; the full-wave and bridge rectifier circuits are the same, and the positive and positive input AC voltages are used. Negative half cycle, so that the frequency is doubled to 100Hz, so the main component of the AC component of this unidirectional pulsating DC is 100Hz, because the rectifier circuit converts the polarity of the input AC voltage for one and a half cycles, so that the frequency of the output DC pulsation voltage is doubled compared with the input AC voltage, and the increase of this frequency is conducive to the filtering of the filter circuit.

3. Among the three kinds of rectifier circuits in the power supply circuit, only the full-wave rectifier circuit requires the secondary coil of the power transformer to be equipped with a center tap, and the other two circuits have no tap requirements for the power transformer. In addition, only one diode is used in a half-wave rectifier circuit, two diodes are used in a full-wave rectifier circuit, and four diodes are used in a bridge rectifier circuit. According to the above two characteristics, it is convenient to distinguish the types of three types of rectifier circuits, but it should be noted that it is more accurate to distinguish the three types of rectifier circuits by whether the power transformer has a tap or not.

4. In the half-wave rectifier circuit, when the rectifier diode is cut off, the peak value of the AC voltage is added to both ends of the diode. The same is true for full-wave rectifier circuits, where when one diode is turned on, the other diode shuts off and is subjected to the full AC peak voltage. Therefore, for these two kinds of rectifier circuits, the rectifier diode of the circuit is required to bear the reverse peak voltage of its ability to bear is higher; for the bridge rectifier circuit, two diodes are turned on, and the other two diodes are cut off, they are connected in series to bear the reverse peak voltage, and there is only half of the reverse peak voltage at both ends of each diode, so the ability of the rectifier diode to bear the reverse peak voltage in this circuit is required to be lower.
